Customer Master Tips and Tricks
Equipment can be updated on trouble tickets
Often trouble calls require replacing equipment at the customer premise. To save time, and possibly launch application interface functions, Customer Master allows users with specific rights to directly access the service order from an open trouble ticket. Equipment can then be updated, provisioning functions staged, and completed as needed.
Wildcard Networks are available in Customer Master
In last fall’s release of Customer Master version 15.2, MACC added 10 new wildcard networks. This addition created a total of 17 networks that services can be billed under. Users can select the icon from the drop-down and label the network with their desired branding. Take advantage of mass processing tools
Additional Mass Update tools were added in the 15.1 release of Customer Master. The new Mass Update Network Tiers with Common Information were developed for use in existing service orders with multiple networks of the same type. USP codes, OCCs, Carrier, or Toll Codes can be copied and updated to the additional networks with this tool.
We also added Special Circuits to the Mass Processing Copy Networks functionality. Previously this tool was designed only for telephone networks. Users have the ability to utilize it for the duplication of special circuit networks. If you’d like assistance using any of these features, please contact MACC’s Customer Master Software Support.
You have the ability to tokenize a credit card prior to the first billing
This enhancement to our credit card processing, through our 3rd party vendor CDS Global, allows an account that has not gone through billing to have the Token and Clear buttons enabled. The first step is to establish the new account with CDS Global by clicking on the eBILL icon to the left of the Account Tier.
Once this step is complete, the tokenization process can occur from the credit screen in the service order.
Did you know … Customer Master has an Importer Tool?
This flexible tool can be used to load CRM rows, OCCs, addresses and prospects from a .CSV file. The fields to be imported are defined by users. We have included validation and messages into the tool to alert users of missing data requirements, duplicate records, etc. There are also features built into this tool to strip characters from the file, as well as copy to all or selected data columns for efficient data cleanup. Set ups can be saved for future use in the import tool.
